As a personal project, I created an ABC book to explore typography. I matched each letter with a font starting with the same letter and investigated the vibe & personality of each of them. Afterwards, I crafted each letter using specific materials and created a setting that represented the character of the font.
As a personal project, I created an ABC book to explore typography. I matched each letter with a font starting with the same letter and investigated the vibe & personality of each of them. Afterwards, I crafted each letter using specific materials and created a setting that represented the character of the font.
I wanted people to look at typography consciously. We see lots of it around us all day, but we hardly think about it. To fit the idea in the cover, I’ve created a sleave which, once pulled off the book, creates an optical illusion of moving letters. It leaves you with type that’s harder to read, so you’ll need to take a closer look at it before it becomes clear.
